Clear the Opening
A door with a failed spring or cable is no longer counterbalanced. It can come down hard and fast. Keep people, pets, and cars out from under it until a tech has hands on it.
Unplug the Opener
Pull the plug at the ceiling outlet. It stops anyone from hitting a button and driving a damaged door further off track, which turns a spring job into a panel and rail job.
Do Not Force It
No prying, no jacking, no rope. Forcing a bound door bends track and shears hinges. Tell the dispatcher the opening cannot be secured and we prioritize your call.
What Happens at 11 PM.
Overnight and weekend calls run differently than a Tuesday morning appointment, and it helps to know how before you dial. The phone is answered live rather than by a machine, so you describe the failure to a person who can tell a snapped spring from a stripped opener gear by the sound you describe. That call decides what goes on the truck.
Distance drives the window. We dispatch out of 214 Rose Drive in Brunswick, so Glynn County and the Golden Isles are quickest. Savannah at the north end and Jacksonville at the south end are real drives, longer at night. You get an honest window on the call, not an optimistic one.

A noisy door or a dead remote is not an emergency, and you will pay less by booking it as a normal service call.

How fast can a technician get to me?
Response depends on distance from our Brunswick shop at 214 Rose Drive and what is already on the board. Glynn County and the Golden Isles are the fastest. Can you secure my garage the same night?
In most cases yes. Trucks carry springs, cables, rollers, hinges, opener parts, and seals, so the majority of emergency calls are finished in the same visit. If a part has to be ordered, such as a specific panel or a discontinued opener board, the technician secures the opening that night and returns to complete the repair.
