How much does a new opener cost installed?
A standard belt-drive LiftMaster opener installed runs 450 to 650 dollars. Heavy-duty models for double doors or commercial use run 700 to 1,100 installed. Chain-drive units are cheaper but louder.
My opener buzzes but does not move. What is wrong?
Usually a broken capacitor, motor coil, or stripped gear. Could also be a broken spring (the opener cannot lift a heavy unbalanced door). We diagnose for free during the service call.
Can I install an opener myself?
You can. But warranty coverage is often voided on DIY installs of LiftMaster and Genie units. Plus motor sizing, spring balance, and sensor wiring need to be right. Most homeowners save money having us install.
What is MyQ?
MyQ is LiftMaster smart-opener technology. Open, close, and monitor from your phone. Get alerts when the door opens. Set schedules. Works with Amazon Key for package delivery.
Do you fix older openers?
Yes. We carry common boards, capacitors, gears, and remotes for openers up to 20 years old. If parts cannot be sourced, we recommend a replacement and apply the service call to the new install.
